It's a great day to be out on the water!

Columbia is home to beautiful rivers, lakes, and nature trails. Lake Murray is a popular place to be during those hot Carolina Summers. It's about 50,000 acres including waterfront dining options, activity rentals, and much more. There are three, large rivers flowing through Columbia where many residents love to float down with friends and family. There are rentals for tubes and transportation so you can meet your car at a decent stopping point.

We love being a community

You can always expect for a festival or large event to take place anywhere around Columbia throughout the year. Some of the more notable festivals include St Patrick's Day, Rosewood Crawfish Festival, Columbia International Festival, Columbia Shrimp & Grits Festival, and much more! On Saturdays, residents love venturing to the Soda City Farmers Market which showcases several different, local vendors.

We're right in the middle

One of the biggest draws to Columbia is our location. We're only a few hours from the beach and a few hours from the mountains. It's easy to spend a weekend or make a day trip around the beautiful state of South Carolina.

The Local Foodie Scene

Columbia is home to several local eateries from bake shops to fine dining. If you'd like to see it, rather than read about it, then click here.

Historical Downtown

There's so much history associated with Columbia, from the infamous street names to the State Capitol Building. Residents love the vibrancy of the old, southern charm you can find in different neighborhoods or businesses. There are several associations such as Historic Columbia that work to preserve this.

Who are you rooting for?

We're home to the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, but many residents come from different schools across the nation. Whether you're cheering on their rivals as a Clemson Alum, any other away team, or have no interest in football; it's still a great experience tailgating and spending a full day with friends.

A Place to Get Involved

There are several ways to get involved and meet new people here in Columbia. Such as alumni groups, special interest organizations, church groups, and volunteer opportunities.

What fits your lifestyle?

Another draw to Columbia is that there are several types of areas to fit your lifestyle. You may want to live somewhere with tons of land with a decent drive to shopping/dining, the city lifestyle walking distance to everything, or anything in between. The beauty of Columbia is that there is always a place for you; all you need to do before looking is share with your realtor what an ideal living space would look like for you and we can help point you to the right places to look!
