ABOUT THE AREA
Located to the Northwest of the City of Columbia, Lake Murray is conveniently located for residents of Downtown Columbia, Lexington and the surrounding areas. Completed in 1930, Lake Murray is one of the biggest man-made lakes in the state with a shoreline of over 600 miles, and serves as a recreational getaway for residents of the Midlands. Lake Murray is encompassed by the towns of Irmo, Chapin, Prosperity, Gilbert and Lexington.
