With St Patrick's day right around the corner, Greenville is gearing up for the 7th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Irish Festival. You can expect to see bag pipes, kilts, floats, and drum bands marching their way down our beloved Main Street.

From Get to the Green 5k races to listening to live music with a cold beer in hand, Greenville knows how to get the city involved to celebrate.

While you're frolicking around downtown, we took it upon ourselves to share our 3️⃣ favorite places to grab the St Pat's staple beverage: Guinness.

We've even made a game out of it: Take a sip every time you hear the word "Amazing"

Connolly's Irish Pub

📍 24 E Court St, Greenville, SC 29601

Located on E Court Street, right behind Soby's, you'll find our true Irish pub, Connolly's. There are two levels with two bars. One has access to pool tables and darts. The other has a stage and open area for you to get your Irish jig on. They have a nice selection of beers on tap, including Guinness, and craft beers as well. There's Trivia on Tuesdays so we highly recommend getting a group going each week!

Guinness Fact: Pouring a glass or pint of Guinness is a skill. A “perfect pour” should take 119.5 seconds. This is the result of pour at an angle of 45 degrees followed by a rest. This is crucial. Most Irish people would cringe if they saw anyone pour it any other way.

POUR Taproom

📍 7 Falls Park Dr, Greenville, SC 29601

If you find yourself up near Falls Park, your next stop should be POUR Taproom. They have the most unique selection of 70 craft beers, ciders, and wines - it's basically a beer & wine festival each day of the week. What we love most about this place is that you can pour by the ounce and try as much variety of beers as your heart desires. They serve Mexican food provided by Gringos next door; which we washed down with Guinness, obviously. Here you can pour yourself which gives you all the capability to pour the best glass possible.

Pro Tip: POUR is dog-friendly 🐾 and people love bringing their furry friends out for a night out on the town.

UP on the Roof

📍 250 Riverplace #800, Greenville, SC 29601

Our last stop is one of our favorite rooftop places in downtown Greenville featuring scenic city views, craft cocktails and modern American eats. Lucky for us, they also serve Guinness. This is definitely a location we have brought out of town guests because of the beautiful views and stylish hangout area with fire pits and comfy seating area. If you're continuing the journey to celebrate St Patrick's day, this is where you go to do it in style.

Guinness Fact: Guinness is so dedicated to settling the sort of obscure debates born in bars that in 1954, managing director Hugh Beaver launched a compendium of little-known facts called the Guinness Book of Records.
