I grew up in West Columbia and went to Brookland Cayce High School. Since then, I have lived in various locations within the Greater Columbia Area, including Lexington, Shandon, and Forest Acres. I appreciate the variety of experiences each of these areas offer, and, having also lived in Athens, GA, Savannah, GA, and Atlanta, GA, I have grown to value the rivers, lakes, and parks we have in the midlands even more. On an average weekend you will find me hiking trails at our parks, walking the dam, or enjoying a day trip to Greenville or to soak in the salt air at one of our beautiful beaches. I am also active in the community as a member of the Lexington County Choral Society and at my church.
While most of my professional background is in the healthcare industry, real estate has always turned my head. When I was licensed in 2014 I decided that if I were to continue in real estate, I would want to do it as a part of a team. I took a break from real estate and pursued my career in private healthcare as a care assistant and team coordinator. During that time, I gained skills in creating systems, recruiting, coordinating calendars, and training, managing and developing an effective team.
Upon transitioning to Atlanta, GA in 2018, I took off my healthcare hat, and was accepted as a social entrepreneur in an accelerator program to pursue my start-up company, Givestry, Inc. Inspired by the thousand-year flood that devastated our state in 2015, it is a gift registry tool for giving to victims of loss and disaster through each phase of restoration. That experience gave me a wealth of self-awareness that caused me to redirect my career pursuit to directly assisting the owner of a thriving company.
Now, I am thrilled I get to do that everyday at The Art of Real Estate as Administrative Coordinator. It is truly my current dream-job, where I get to work alongside the best real estate team in the state of South Carolina. I’m blessed.
