A lifetime resident of Sevier County, I grew up in Sevierville where I graduated from Sevier County High School. I then attended Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City where I got to experience being a student athlete on the 1984 National Championship Football team. Over the years I have owned primary homes in the Sevierville, Gatlinburg, and Waldens Creek areas.
Before I began a career in real estate, I retired as a lieutenant with the City of Pigeon Forge Police Department. I have extensive experience working with local planning commissions, building codes, city, county, state, and federal governments. Appointed by the Governor, I served on the Tennessee Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission. I served as a law enforcement advisor to prior Tennessee Senators Bill Frist and Fred Thompson. After being elected, I served as President of the Tennessee Police Benevolent Association and Vice-President for Southern States Police Benevolent Association.
My first real estate experience was purchasing my first primary home. I then invested in different overnight cabins and local businesses over the years in Sevier County. I believe in being an active member of my community and in the past I served on the Boys and Girls Club board of directors, Sevier County Health Board, United Way of Sevier County as a past board member and chairman, Sevier County Baseball Association, and presenter to lots of civic groups. East Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains are my passion. I have the knowledge and expertise to guide buyers, sellers, and investors at The ART of Real Estate.
When I’m not driving the backroads looking for the next real estate deal, I spend time with my family. My wife Mary, our children, and grandchildren stay active in community events, and family gatherings within our extended families and we also enjoy traveling together.
